I don't have any experience in programming or math.

Can I still take the course?

In a word, absolutely. Our curriculum was designed to take you from zero prior knowledge in programming and math to tackling independent, end-to-end data science projects that you can add to your portfolio in order to impress that potential employer you're interviewing with down the line.

Our goal is to give you the technical skill and savvy to compete for entry-level positions in the data field, regardless of your past experiences and occupations. We've helped many students make the switch to data, many of whom you can read about in-depth on our user stories page.

Of course, you're not alone in this new and exciting journey of yours! We have multiple ways you can get support in the case you ever need that extra push, including, but not limited to:

Collaborating and co-studying with other students in our moderated, members-only student community.
Guaranteed support from our DS team on DQ course material within 24 hours, no matter your time zone.
Downloading mission 'takeaways' for reviewing concepts no matter where you are.

Sounds great 😍— tell me how to get started!

Given that you're probably new to programming, you'll want to start off with the very basics. Not to worry, though — we'll get you up to speed quickly without having to use additional supplementary resources.

Simply navigate to our  Python Beginner course, which is completely accessible under our Free plan, and you'll be well on your way to navigating the data science industry with confidence. You'll also want to swing by our blog — we have some great articles that will better prepare you for your future in data. I've listed some of my personal favorites below:
